Position Description
Deflecto is looking a Packer on 1st shift, hours are 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday. This position is primarily responsible for the assembly and kitting of dryer venting, checking quality of assembled product and packaging the product properly.- Pull own staged orders when necessary
- Maintain a clean work area
- Inspect part quality
- Know the part number of the job you are running
- Review the shop packet for each job you run
- Complete paperwork correctly and return it to CFM spider at the end of your shift
- Notify your supervisor of any problems you are having immediately
- Training new packers when assigned to you
- Help and assist other packers when needed
- Rotate paperwork weekly between assemblers
- Apply component parts as instructed
- Mark chips, masters, etc., when necessary
- Tape masters completely closed and place on skid as per instructions
- When relieving packers for breaks and lunch, find out exactly what is being done including special instructions
- May be assigned to alternate jobs at times
- Other duties as assigned
